40 YEARS OF PROFESSION
In June the 40th anniversary from the establishment of the professional association AIPi is going to fall. An important moment we are willing to join to the five hundred years celebration from Andrea Palladio’s birth: architect, sculptor, great artist in the Italian arts history.
In the evening of June 26th we are going to have a celebratory party, in the wonderful setting of Villa Cordellina in Vicenza.
On Saturday, the 27th, the worldwide known Teatro Olimpico will host us for a convention where important interior designers will meet; interior designers belonging to various generations, from the year of the establishment of AIPi, in 1969 (registered as ONA), until today. The first interior designers’ generation already left or will be soon leaving. Students of  interior design and young professionals should therefore seize this opportunity to have a speech with them before they cease working. This is a very important occasion to confront each other and to compare a “modus operandi”, a very
rich source of valuable information, also of historical and personal kind, belonging to a generation of “pioneers”. The history which made the real Made in Italy in the Interior branch!
A point of particular interest will be keeping in confrontation young Interior Design students and professionals, who are everyday involved into the reality of working. Problems and expectation will be discussed and understood. We want to talk to the  young  Italian designers and students: we would like to know what they think about their studies, what should be improved, and how they would like their teachers and educators to be like. Besides being a celebratory moment, it will certainly be an instructive working day,
but in a witty and satirical feeling!
Considering future prospects, we would like to offer a possible new vision about working in the Interior world, an opening to new chances. To interact transversally with different realities, like Fashion and Food & Design in this case.
Confirmed guests of the 40th anniversary are AIPI members, colleagues from IFI (International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers), members from ECIA (European Council of Interior Architects), institutions like Consorzio Polidesign, of which AIPI is charter member, Milan Polytechnic Institute,  IUAV (Venice University), Turin Polytechnic Institute, IED (European Institute of Design), IAAD (Turin High School of Decorative Arts), ABADIR (Catania Academy of Fine Arts), High Schools and Academies of which AIPI is institutional partner.
